iPower: ElECTRIC UTILITY SCADA
Safe Operation
iPower SCADA is designed specifically for electric utility and electricty network control. The iPower GUI is consistent, clear and immediately intuitive to electricity SCADA operators.
FAST Implementation
Graphics configuration is typically the largest single implementation task.iPower commonly reduces 20 or more steps to a single drag-and-drop,while delivering system that are inherently consistent and easy to maintain.
Reliable
Client-server architecture, distribution of core applications and redundant networking add to a high-reliability SCADA system.
Future Proofed Investment
iPower is an investment in a state-of-the-art, open, standards-based system, delivering the best of the Windows environment, Internet technology and advanced data-sharing facilities.

Fast and Consistent Implementation
iPower greatly reduces graphics configuration time, typically the single most expensive job in a new SCADA system. For example a single drag-and drop of a CB or transformer onto an iPower picture typically replaces 20 times as many steps in a traditional SCADA system. Dropping say a transformer image onto a display might also configure the display of MW, MVAR and transformer tap control/indication, plus create an auxiliary screen displaying the 20-30 other indications commonly associated with a transformer. iPower systems are also inherently consistent and easy to maintain. Implementing an iPower system is faster, less expensive and lower risk than a traditional SCADA implementation. The display below shows the rich, object-based configuration environment.

Distribution load Management
Add demand-side load management to iPower with Catapult’s “OnDemand” load control package option for iPower. Sophisticated prediction algorithms use both historical and real-time data to accurately predict load, while the load shed/restore capacity is modeled for each switchable load in the system. This enables OnDemand to automatically switch loads to satisfy energy and instantaneous connection-point targets; plus guaranteed on and off times, priorities and load cycling requirements for each of the separate controllable loads in the system.

Integrating Across the Enterprise
Imagine if you could click on a feeder and display a list of customers connected. What if you could click on a transformer and see maintenance records, or perhaps asset data? Chances are you already have this sort of data in other computer in your business. iPower has exactly the tool you need: VisiconX, a tool so powerful that you don’t need IT experts to find and display data from other databases in your business. VisiconX is entirely wizard driven, it requires NO programming or knowledge of SQL. Data from any of your other databases that support standard SQL is easily displayed to your iPower users.
